Hello, my name is Rocky and I need a
stable, loving home. My formal,
registered name is actually Star Lite's
Promise, out of Roseridge Amanda, by
Mantic Emperor, but everyone just calls
me Rocky for short. I'm an 18 year
old Bay Morgan gelding and I've been
with my wonderful foster moms since
April. |

I haven't been worked much in the past
10 years, really, but I was very
well-trained a long time ago and when my
memory in on key, I remember it all very
well. I do great on the trails and I'm
not really afraid of anything. My foster
mom says that I'm high-energy, but not a
spazz and I'm proud of that. I'm a bit
out of shape right now, but with someone
who has some quality time to spend with
me, I'll be able to get fit again
quickly! My foster mom says I am a
fabulous horse to have in a family and I
agree, and although I don't think being
a show horse is in my future anymore. At
this point in my life, I am a wonderful
family pet and do best when I get to
graze on minimal pasture during the day
and have free-choice hay at night. My
foster moms can explain more about my

As an
update on Rocky 4/25/10: he now lives
with ANOTHER wonderful foster mom in
Kent, who is giving him the best care.
He has had a history of founder that
good care and a good farrier is
maintaining and is doing great. He
had a bad colic episode in Dec 09 and a
wound on his chest that is finally
healing, but he looks good. His
foster mom wants to keep him, so I think
he may have won a new home with his
great personality. :) |
